Why an EMR has to fit each province
Health Canada is the federal health department, but the delivery of health care in Canada is run by the provinces and territories. Each one has its own public health plan, so physician billing differs from one to the next. In Ontario, for example, physicians bill OHIP, and Ontario Health is the provincial agency that coordinates health care.

Billing in OPHIS
OHIP billing is built in today and connects to scheduling, invoices and the general ledger. If your clinic is outside Ontario, talk to us about your province's billing and how OPHIS would fit.
What works the same in every province
Patient records, scheduling, accounting, HR and payroll, inventory, team messaging and reports all run on one platform. See the full feature list, what clinics pay for an EMR in Canada or how OPHIS compares with OSCAR and OpenEMR.
OPHIS is not affiliated with or endorsed by Health Canada, Ontario Health, or any provincial or territorial government, health plan or health authority. Names are used only to describe the Canadian health system.
